The Bible of Calci (2014)

The precious book in four volumes, a real masterpiece of the Italian Romanesque miniature, is known as “The Bible of Calci” because it has been conserved since 1425 in the Certosa of Calci, and temporary stored in the Museum of San Matteo, in Pisa, since 1970. On the occasion of the return of the Bible in Calci, in 2015, a multimedia project has been realized by the ACE group of the PERCRO Laboratory of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and funded by Rotary. The movie shows a virtual reconstruction of the Bible, including a narration describing the most relevant details of the artwork.
